Dr Laura Williams, B.V.M.&S.
Graduating from the University of Edinburgh, Royal (Dick) Veterinary College in June 2012, Dr Williams came home to begin practicing in September of the same year. With dedicated compassion and professionalism, she has treated thousands of animals. Her passion lies in small animal surgery and equine internal medicine as well as sports medicine. She's excited to continue providing the highest level veterinary services to the Barbadian community through the WellVet Clinic.
Dr. Joie St. John, D.V.M.
Recent graduate of the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine campus, Dr. St John joins us with an unparalleled enthusiasm. Since a small child she has dreamed of being a veterinarian, and her dreams have been realized.
Dr. St. John has a special interest in feline medicine, and equine medicine. She is excited about joining our close knit WellVet family and expanding her small animal skill set.
Kimberley Field
Kim has close to twenty years of experience in the veterinary field and brings with her a wealth of knowledge. She joins us in her new role as Practice Manager - which she is sure to excel at. Kim's favourite part of the job is when puppies come in for their routine vaccines, and is WellVet Clinic's CCO (Chief Cuddling Officer).
Davia Hunte
Backed by years of experience and knowledge, Mr Hunte has been with WellVet Clinic from the beginning. Committed to his work as a veterinary technician, his passion lies in the treatment and caring of animals, especially dogs, and assisting in surgeries. His favourite part of being a part of WellVet Clinic is seeing a patient go home after making a full recovery whilst as the clinic.
Kimberley Mackie
Kimberley, or Mackie, as she is known in the clinic, started work as a veterinary technician under the tutelage of Dr. Alan Storey, B.V.M.&S. when she was only 17. With over 20 years of experience, she is the guiding hand that trains all of the new technicians when they join the team
Mackie excels in difficult situations, taking each new experience in her stride and growing from them.
Indira Franklyn
Indira started her career in the animal field, working as an assistant groomer with Paws R Us. We were delighted when she joined us in 2022 to be our part time veterinary technician. Indira's care and compassion for the animals is evident in everything she does.
Kristi Johnson
Kristi joins us as a part time receptionist, on weekday mornings at the clinic. Kristi has years of experience as a receptionist in the veterinary field and is happy to answer any questions with a smile.
She is very excited to be back in the veterinary field so she can cuddle puppies and kittens.
